No two Damascus folding knives are alike
No model. No series. Every knife is made for one person – and only for that person. Blade shape, handle geometry, mechanism, material: everything emerges from a collaboration that starts with your idea and ends with an object that will never exist again.
The Knives

Wolfram Garre – Precision Mechanic
Wolfram Garre does not come from knife-making – he comes from precision mechanics. Every screw in one of his knives is reworked and fitted to that specific knife. Every fit, every surface, every movement of the mechanism – engineered for this one knife. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Wolfram takes on only a handful of commissions per year. Not because of capacity – but because of standards.

Material. Your choice.
The handle of a folding knife sits in your hand every day – so you choose the wood yourself. Whether local oak, walnut, or rare burl wood from distant forests: there are no restrictions. Wolfram works with any wood you bring or can imagine. The surface, the grain, the tone – that is your decision.
The bolsters of the folding knife are made in either titanium or stainless steel. This is not a question of quality – both materials are worked to the same standard and will last a lifetime. It is purely a question of price. Titanium is lighter and has a more premium feel; stainless steel is more robust in price. You decide what suits you in conversation.
Damascus folding knives start at 700 €. Depending on wood choice, bolster material, and complexity, the price may increase – but this is agreed before production begins. No surprises.
More about the knives

Every folding knife can be built again.
Every design Wolfram has ever built can be made again. Same dimensions, same mechanism, same material – identical if you wish. What cannot be repeated is the pattern of the Damascus blade. Every blank is forged by folding and welding steel – a process that produces similar patterns, but never the same one. Your knife's pattern exists exactly once. That is not a promise – it is physics.
This makes every look through the gallery a concrete possibility. You see a Damascus folding knife you like – and you can have it. Wolfram knows every design that has ever passed through his hands.

Damascus blades. Exclusively by Julian Vollmer.
The blade blanks that work in Wolfram's knives come from a single blacksmith: Julian Vollmer – a Damascus smith by conviction. No catalogue, no standard blade. Every blank is forged for the knife that follows.
