Step 3 Making
Every fit. Every surface. This knife.
Julian Vollmer forges the exclusive Damascus blade blank. Wolfram handles every other component: screws are reworked and fitted to the knife, every tolerance is worked in, every surface tuned. That takes time – and he takes it.
Step 4 Your knife
An object that exists exactly once.
Precise enough for daily use. Exceptional enough to be passed on.
Material Your choice
Handle wood of your choice. Bolsters in titanium or stainless steel.
You choose the wood for the handle. There is no predefined list and no standard options. Wolfram works with any wood – from classic walnut to rare burl, from local species to exotic varieties. The decision is yours, and it is taken seriously.
The bolsters of the folding knife are made in titanium or stainless steel. Titanium is the lighter material with a more premium feel; stainless steel is more robust in price and proven in workmanship. Both materials are worked to the same craft standard – the difference lies solely in price, not in quality of execution.
Damascus folding knives start at 700 €. What goes beyond that depends on material choice and production complexity. The final quote is agreed after the first conversation – transparent, clear, and binding.
Re-orderable
Every folding knife ever built can be built again.
No design is lost. If you see a Damascus folding knife in the gallery that you like – or if you already own one and would like another – Wolfram can make any design again. Same dimensions, same mechanism, same material. Or with your own changes: different wood, different bolsters, a variation in finish.
This is not a compromise or a limitation. It is an offer: whoever has a specific folding knife in mind can have it. Production always starts fresh, by hand, to the same standard as the original.
