Wolfram takes time for every inquiry. Not every project is a good fit – and that is fine. A short conversation shows whether working together makes sense.
He makes Damascus folding knives in Krebeck, a small village south of Göttingen in Lower Saxony. Clients come from across Germany – production is location-independent, conversations happen by email or phone.
What to bring.
No complete brief. No technical drawing. No prior knowledge of knife-making. Wolfram needs an idea – and the willingness to develop it together. The first conversation is not a test or an interview. It is an exchange between two people, one of whom wants a folding knife built and the other of whom needs to know what that requires.
It helps to have a sense of:
- What kind of Damascus folding knife you have in mind – style, size, intended use
- Which wood or materials appeal to you
- Whether titanium or stainless steel for the bolsters is an option
- Your approximate budget – folding knives start at 700 €
Not every project is a good fit – and that is fine. Wolfram takes on only a handful of commissions per year. A short conversation shows whether working together makes sense. This is not a barrier – it is respect for your time and his work.
